Susan  Elaine Jackson

Susan Elaine Jackson, 52, died Saturday October 24, 2009 at Candler Hospital. She was a native of Handley, West Virginia and lived in Savannah most of her life. She graduated from Savannah State University and Armstrong Atlantic State University. She was a Counselor at Notre Dame Academy and a communicant of The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ernest W. and Vivian Jackson and her maternal grandfather, Kenneth Spradling.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Bignault and his wife Amy, of Chicago, Ill., and Jacob Butler Geriner, of Savannah. She is also survived by her companion of many years, Juan C. Ayala, of Savannah, her parents, Franklin and Carolyn Jackson, of Savannah, her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Spradling, her sisters, Kenya Havlin and her husband Paul, of Guyton, Tammy Jonas and her husband Richard, of Anchorage, Alaska, Kim Combs and her husband Carl, of Guyton. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Doug and Leo Bignault, of Chicago, Ill, also Juan's children, Cassie, Holly, Christina, and Juan's grandchildren, Aiden and Laila and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
